BLUE MUSE AND SPIRIT is an umbrella site for a number of services I provide in the Seattle area. There are four main branches of this work. Below is an overview of each section.
GUITAR LESSONS AND BLUES EDUCATION: Blues is the focal point in two different settings, individual lessons, and Blues Ensemble. The individual classes are private standard, accoustic and eclectric slide, lap slide, and the 12 Tone Ultra Plus. I have taught Blues Ensembles at The Seattle Drum School, and may do so again in the near future. E-mail if your interested in being a part of a group in the future. My teaching resume is also located here for download.
SOUND AWARENESS: The focus of this area of work is The Harmonic Series and how it relates to Musical Temperaments as well as Sound Healing. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Ethnomusicology and have been studying the Harmonic Series intensively for the last 5 years since I attended a number of workshops and masters classes with David Hykes on "Harmonic Chant". The last two years i've been studying and playing the 12 Tone Ultra Plus Guitar from Freenote Guitars and developed by the world's formemost Microtonal Guitar Player, Jon Catler. I am currently writing a teaching manual on this instrument.
CALENDAR: This section will lead to information on gigs I will be playing as well as my teaching schedule. My Blues Band, The Stone Crazy Blues Band is currently working on new material for a Microtonal recording.
