Overview

I have had a strong interest in Sound Healing for over ten years. After initially studying some Eastern philosophies and being introduced to Indian and other Eastern Music I became interested in the harmonic series and its relationship to these complex musical systems.

This interest led me to The University of Washington's Ethnomusicology program where I took academic classes on many world music traditions. After completing my bachelor's degree I began to look for avenues to study music as an Energetic Healing modality. At this point I began to attend several workshops in the Seattle on sound and its healing properties.

During the workshops mentioned above I noticed the lack of musical concepts present, as well as the general difference in levels of the workshops and looked for an avenue to become better educated himself, as well as to educate people in the more musical aspects of Sound Healing. This has resulted in a six part program that was presesented on Sound Healing in March of 2003 at East West Books in Seattle.
